Family packages

Our family packages, formerly known as "The Family Tour", are part of our unique concept where a tent is set up at predetermined accommodation locations, making it easy and simple for you to go on a canoeing holiday. We've taken care of all the practicalities, so you can just go and enjoy each other's company, the experience and the beautiful nature on and around Gudenåen.

The family packages usually start at the source of the Gudenå in Tørring, which is ideal for everyone, as the narrow river makes it easy to get familiar with the canoe. You book the trip in advance and a five-person tent with two sleeping cabins will be ready for you on arrival at the various accommodation locations. The canoes can be collected from Tørring Kanoudlejning from 9.30am and must be returned to the final destination by 4pm on the final day.

If you want to start closer to your first accommodation, we can easily deliver the canoe at Åle Teltplads or Åstedbro Teltplads, so your first canoeing day won't be as long, which can be ideal if you have smaller children or you want to start the trip later in the day. When you book the tour, you choose whether you want to start the tour at Tørring, Åle or Åstedbro.
