Sailing time: 19 kilometres and 5.5 hours
Price per person*: 1,345 kr.

Shortly after Ry, you'll sail past Alling Vest Teltplads, which is an incredibly beautiful and protected area. The journey now continues through Rosvig and out into Julsø. Here you can sail to Himmelbjerget and moor at Hotel Julsø, which is also where the Hjejlen and regular ferries moor. Remember to either pull the canoe up to the left of the tour boats at bridge 51 or to the far right of Hjejlen and the tour boats' moorings at the small sandy beach.
Møgelø is located to the right after Himmelbjerget. Møgelø is an island in Julsø opposite Himmelbjerget. The name Møgelø means "Big Island" as it is the largest in the lake with 28 acres of land.
Before Svejbæksnævringen you will find the restaurants: Ålekroen, Traktørstedet Ludvigslyst and Skyttehusets Café - remember to check their opening hours if lunch is to be enjoyed here.
You'll then sail further into Borresø, and a visit to Slåensø (located to the left in Borresø) is definitely worth a visit. You'll have to pull your canoe/kayak onto land at the bottom of bridge 30, and from there it's a short walk to Slåensø, one of Denmark's cleanest freshwater lakes.
The Paradise Islands are also to the left, and if time permits, you can sail to Paradise and experience the beautiful nature there.
Now it goes through Sejssnævringen and into Brassø. It's a must to sail through Klüver's canal, which is located after Bridge no. 7. It's not very wide or deep, and the trees grow over it so that branches and leaves almost form a "roof". But there's just enough room for you to sail your canoe through, and from here you enter the most beautiful lake in the middle of the forest. The lake is called Avnsø and is usually called "The Glasses", a name given to the lake due to its shape because it actually resembles a pair of old-fashioned nose glasses.
Now the trip continues towards Silkeborg, where you'll be travelling on the Remstrup River. When you arrive at the end point, which is at Silkeborg Harbour, where we have our base, you hand over the canoe and have a 5-minute walk to the hotel.
Then enjoy a lovely evening at Radisson Blu Hotel Papirfabrikken with dinner, accommodation and a delicious breakfast buffet the following day. The hotel is centrally located down towards the promenade along Remstrup Å.
