Terms and conditions

When paying online, all fields with contact information must be filled in. The price will be displayed during the booking process and at checkout. The price is your total price for your entire booking and no additional costs will be added. Once payment is complete, you will receive a confirmation email of your booking and payment. Payment can be made with Visa/Dankort, as well as authorised credit and debit cards. All prices are in DKK, incl. VAT.

If cancelled no later than 4 weeks before the start date/time, the full amount will be refunded, less a fee of DKK 200.

If cancelled less than 4 weeks before the start date/time, 75% of the full amount will be refunded.

If cancelled less than 14 days before the start date/time, 50% of the full amount will be refunded.

If cancelled less than 7 days before the start date/time, the amount will not be refunded.

Cancellation must be made in writing to info@silkeborgkanocenter.dk with your contact information, order number and your reg. and account number.

(Note: It is possible to purchase a cancellation option for a small amount. The amount is not covered by the above refund options).

The price for a cancellation add-on is 5 % of the total amount of the booking, with a minimum of DKK 50. The cancellation option is selected and paid for when booking and cannot be purchased after the booking has been completed.

If cancelled no later than 48 hours before the start date/time, 100% of the full amount* will be refunded.

If cancelled at least 36 hours before the start date/time, 75% of the full amount* will be refunded.

If cancelled at least 24 hours before the start date/time, 50% of the full amount* will be refunded.

If less than 24 hours before the start date/time, the amount is non-refundable.

*The amount for the purchased cancellation option is non-refundable.

Please note that you can always change your booking after payment has been completed by contacting us via email or phone.
Any optional extras you choose will always be refunded in full.

When ordering SHALL Life jackets are ordered according to the number of people travelling. It's important to choose the right vest sizes. We pack paddles according to x number of vests booked - for the very young (under 20kg) a child paddle is not included. Booking a 20/30kg vest triggers a child paddle. From 30kg upwards, an adult paddle is automatically included. If you want to change the number/variety of paddles, please leave a comment when booking. If you bring your own vests, this must be noted in the booking and adult paddles will automatically be included for those people, unless otherwise stated in the comments.

If life jackets are selected during booking, it is a requirement that the person can swim at least 150 metres. Silkeborg Kanocenter cannot be held responsible in the event of an accident when using either a life jacket with collar or a life jacket.

Start location:

The canoe/kayak will be ready from 9.00 am on the start date unless otherwise agreed - from Tørring from 9.30 am. Under the canoe will be paddles and vests, as well as any optional products. At the end of the canoe/kayak there is a plastic pocket in which there is a delivery slip with your details. A map of the Gudenås system is also enclosed.

End location:

The canoe/kayak must arrive at the agreed end point no later than 16.00 on the end date (Silkeborg Harbour at 17.00/20.00), unless otherwise agreed.

IMPORTANT: Call us from the final destination so we know that both you and the canoe/kayak have landed safely. The phone number can be found on the delivery note. Please leave the canoe/kayak as you found it, with the bottom up and all equipment underneath.

If the final destination has to be changed from the agreed destination or it has not been agreed in advance, please contact us by phone: +45 86 80 30 03 by 12.00 noon on the last day of your trip and inform us of the final destination so that we know where to pick up the canoe/kayak later that day!

In the event that canoes/kayaks are returned before the end of the rental period, the amount paid will not be refunded.

The lessee is liable for any damage caused to the canoe/kayak/motorboat and equipment through gross negligence, as well as any loss of these.

For any damage to yourself or your belongings during the trip, no compensation will be provided.

The renter is liable for any damage to third party property caused by the canoe/kayak/motorboat with their own liability insurance.

Please note that dogs are not allowed on our Family Packages and Family Packages (smaller children).

To avoid misplacement and theft of your canoe/kayak, please always make sure to put your canoe/kayak on land at night and bring extra seats, paddles and vests for your tent/shelter/cabin.

We are subject to the Personal Data Act in force at any given time in relation to the storage and protection of personal data. The information is stored in accordance with applicable Danish legislation and is then deleted. The customer always has the right to gain insight into what information the company has about the customer.
